Over the last few weeks, students in Comm Arts have been reading Gary Paulsen's novel, "Hatchet," in order to solidify their understanding of plot elements and types of conflicts we may find within a story. Students completed their second unit test and continue to develop their reading and test taking skills.
The changes and amendments to the term grades are as follows:
Quarter 1: 45%
Tests 30%
Quizzes 20%
Homework 20%
Participation 20%
Notebook 10%
Quarter 2: 50%
Tests 30%
Quizzes 20%
Homework 20%
Participation 20%
Notebook 10%
Semester test: 5%
As you may note, no internal changes have taken place, simply a redistribution of weight in order to account for the semester test, which will be given in January.
